I. Information We Collect
- 1. Information Collected Directly by Us
- A. Account & Service Data. We adhere to data minimisation principles and only collect necessary information to deliver stable and complete Services. When you register an account or use our platform features, we may collect identifiable information including your nickname, profile portrait, phone number, email address, IP address, unique device identifier, approximate location, billing and payment related information; as well as non-identifiable information such as chat content, images, audio, video, VoIP data, published content, interaction records and other in-app behaviour logs. If you make in-app purchases, our authorised third-party payment service providers may collect relevant payment information. We may send service notifications and functional alerts to your registered email. Promotional emails will only be sent with your explicit consent, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time without deleting your account.
- B. Cookies & Tracking Technologies. We use cookies, web beacons, pixel tags, scripts and similar tracking technologies to analyse service operation, optimise user experience, record access behaviour and collect aggregated demographic data. Cookies are small text files stored on your browser or device to remember your preferences and support secure login and data analytics. You may manage or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using our core Services, but some personalised functions may be limited. We also use authorised third-party analysis and conversion tracking tools for aggregated data statistics, including Yahoo Conversion Tracking and Quora Conversion Tracking. All third-party tracking services comply with platform rules and regional regulatory requirements. You may refer to the respective third-party privacy policies to manage personalised tracking preferences.
- C. Data from Third-Party Platforms. With your explicit authorisation, you may bind third-party social accounts (such as Facebook) to your Meow account. We will only obtain limited public information authorised by you from such third-party platforms to facilitate account binding and social interaction. We may also obtain advertising identifiers under your consent to optimise product operation and advertising delivery, without obtaining unnecessary private data.
- 2. Information Collected on Behalf of Third Parties
- Our business partners, service providers and data analytics vendors may use unified tracking technologies for aggregated service statistics and operational analysis. We only share de-identified, non-personal aggregated data and will not provide your individual personal information to third parties without your separate consent.
- 3. Device Permissions & Local Data (All permissions are requested with your real-time consent, and you may deny any non-essential permission without affecting core functions)
- a) Contacts: Only with your consent, we access local contacts to recommend friends for social interaction. We will not upload or store your contact list to our servers without authorisation.
- b) App Installation Referrer: We obtain installation source data through official Google Play APIs for operational statistics, and will not collect sensitive device information such as IMEI or unique hardware IDs.
- c) Location: With your consent, we obtain approximate location information for nearby user recommendation and regional content display. You may turn off location permission at any time in your device settings.
- d) Camera: Used for taking profile photos, in-app image sending and video chat functions, only activated with your permission.
- e) Microphone: Used for voice chat and voice interaction functions within the platform, accessed only after your authorisation.
- f) Storage: Required for local resource caching, image/video uploading and local file reading, to ensure normal use of content publishing functions.
- g) Advertising ID: With your consent, we obtain advertising identifiers from Admob, Facebook, Unity and Vungle for aggregated advertising effect analysis and service optimisation.
- h) Installed App List: This permission will only be requested for limited operational analysis with your separate explicit consent, and will not be forcibly acquired. You may refuse this permission with no impact on daily use.
